From the Moors to York

We're all caught up now.  We've been trying to upload photos, we have lots of great one, but my computer is not cooperating.  Hopefully we will get that figured out soon.

Thursday morning was spent on a local bus from Helmsley back to York which went through small villages with names like Easingwold and Oswaldkirk.  The scenery leaving the Yorkshire Moors was beautiful.  After a break for lunch, we joined a guide Mike for a Richard III tour, orkwhich was really a history tour of York with elements of Richard III mixed in.  After that (which involved a good 2 or more hours walking) we checked into what many of us think of as our second home, the York youth hostel.  The rest of the afternoon was spent in free time activities like relaxing, laundry, and running.

We have an early departure Friday for North Wales. The next time you hear from us we will be in Conwy.
